The Fifty State Tour
In the fall of 2002, Lis completed a record-setting tour of the fifty states. At sixty days, it was the fastest ever by a solo musician. (Lis performed 52 concerts total - two each in Kansas and Hawaii.) Since the "Fifty State Tour" was the first in recorded history, it garnered a bit of national attention and brought Lis’s music to a wider audience. The event was covered by newspapers all over the country (as well as NPR, Car Talk, CNN, the Associated Press, RollingStone.com, Relix Magazine, and more), and months later Lis was awarded a certificate by Guinness World Records, LLC.
